Education - Speaking of education in Indonesia we are never separated
from a familiar figure in the world of education where 125 years ago exactly 2
May 1889 a son of evil, he is one of the best sons ever owned this nation. He
is known as a pioneer of education and as the father of education and also one
of the leaders of the struggle in seizing independence. Ki Hadjar Dewantara so
we call him, he is a figure and a role model who fight for our rights to be
able to enjoy and get an education that at that time can only be enjoyed by the
nobles and the priyai.
His enthusiasm and enthusiasm should be an example to all of us in
remembering science once again we are currently living in the realms of
independence without intimidation and discrimination. We are as the next
generation of people who live amid the global competition both in the field of
economy, technology and information, also in weaponry and defense. We live in a
pluralistic, tribal, cultural, racial and religious plural which makes us a
great nation but on the other it can be a boomerang for ourselves if we are
still living in a world of ignorance. Of course we do not want to be like the
ones that are easily divisible by foreign countries with sara, racial and
religious issues.
Mr. and Mrs. teacher faculty and colleagues of students who I respect
...
In response to what I have said above, it is time we realize is the
education we want to compete with developed countries such as America, China,
Japan, Britain, Francis and other western countries and European countries. It
is time for this nation to become an independent nation in all aspects of
economic, political, cultural, technological and other aspects and all of which
can not be realized without the support of qualified human resources, intelligent,
disciplined and have character personality.
Have we had the ability to compete with the developed countries and
have we become an independent nation? We have to admit, we are still far from
everything in the ideals of the fighters who precede us. Even very sad we also
have to admit that there are still many out there people who can not afford
education only because of economic factors and some others only to the basic
level due to low awareness about the importance of education. They prefer to work
hard from an early age to earn a living instead of sitting in school that they
consider only adds to the burden of life and wastes time.
Weak awareness of the importance of education and the limited economy
are the two biggest causes of parents being reluctant to send their children to
school. Of course this becomes the task of us all as an element of the nation
so that all problems can be solved.
Printing a bright and characteristic young generation can be created
with support from all elements. The government should provide convenience and
ease for those who are not economically able either with free school programs
or other scholarship benefits. and for educational institutions should continue
to explore and implement a quality education system and for parents should be a
motivator for their children to the spirit of study and last we as a student
should be consistent and earnest in learning and education to the the highest
level.
With the support of all components and synergize all elements in one
thought and ideals to advance education, not something that is impossible this
country will be able to become a big country, advanced, and respected by other
countries even more so Indonesia is essentially a rich country of its natural
resources and if managed with intelligent and qualified human resources it is
very easy to become an independent country in the economic field.
Before I end the speech on this education, I again emphasize both for
myself and my friends all, that education does not recognize age, social
status, and is not limited by social scope and it is never too late to learn.
